Hello!
My name is Kashmira Irani, but you can call me Kash! In 2023 I received my B.S. in Psychology, with a double minor in Informatics and Data Science from the University of Washington. Now, I’m a master’s student at Rice University in the Human-Computer Interaction and Human Factors program.
This Explains My Love of Data
This is Anscombe's quartet, which will help explain my love of data. These four datasets contain different numbers but are statistically identical. They have the same mean, standard deviation, correlation, and linear regression equation. If you stop here, you may think these datasets are all the same.
But, when you graph the data, you can see they are vastly different. Visualizations can tell us crucial information, they are not just for looks. This phenomenon is part of why I love to do research. You can ask any question, and then through research and proper methods find the answer. There are hidden insights everywhere and I enjoy problem-solving to find them.

I am always excited to learn about and share the exciting innovations and advancements in our field. I’ve created a list of some of my favorite resources, articles, books, and more. Enjoy!
